Granite — return-to-sport programming for sports physios and S&C coaches
Rehab ends. Sport begins. Almost nothing bridges the gap.
Rehab tools get an athlete out of the sling and back to exercises, then stop at discharge. The hard part — carrying a criteria-based progression the rest of the way back to the pitch, the mat, the road — is the exact shape of what Granite already does.
Time cleared this athlete two weeks ago. The hop symmetry hasn't — 82% against a 90% target — so the return waits. The clinician sets the criteria · Granite holds the line
The gap is the return, not the rehab
There are good tools for prescribing rehab exercises. There is almost nothing for the bridge back into sport — the weeks between “the knee is healed” and “the athlete can cut, land and sprint under fatigue without thinking about it.”
The research is blunt about why that gap is dangerous. The great majority of return-to-sport decisions after ACL reconstruction — on the order of eight in ten — are still made on time: cleared at nine months, back at a year. But time doesn't know whether the knee is ready, and returning before the criteria are met is exactly when people get hurt again.
Granite's machinery is already this shape
Load management. Movement substitution. Criteria-based progression that refuses to advance until a threshold is met. The engine that eases a squat around a flared shoulder and holds a lifter back until the fatigue clears is the same engine a return-to-sport bridge needs — only the criteria change.
Point it at the return and it rebuilds load toward full sport demand, substitutes around what still can't take it, and gates each step on the criteria the clinician set — symmetry, strength, control — not on the date. The bridge lives in the same place the athlete's strength work already does.
For the clinician, not instead of them
This is a mode inside the coach platform for sports physiotherapists and S&C coaches. Never a separate app, and never a separate company.
You set the criteria and the thresholds. Granite runs the day-to-day progression and holds the line between appointments, and shows its working the whole way — so when you review, you see exactly why it advanced or held. Every return-to-sport call stays yours.
Gated on expert sign-off
This is the end of the market closest to the medical line, so it moves at the pace of getting it right. Granite is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or decide anyone's readiness. It runs the criteria a qualified clinician sets, under their sign-off.
It is being built with sports physios and S&C coaches from the first line, and it ships when they say it's ready — not before. If that's your problem to solve, we want you in the room while it's built.
